Role-Specific Additions
Functions that apply on top of the general list, depending on the classroom you're placed in.
  • Infant room. Lift and carry infants up to 30 pounds from floor, changing table, and crib. Feed via bottle on individualized schedules. Complete diaper changes ten or more times per shift. Tolerate exposure to bodily fluids using universal precautions.
  • Toddler room. Support toilet training. Manage multiple toddlers in active motion. Provide physical redirection during conflicts.
  • Preschool / Pre-K. Prepare and deliver Montessori-inspired lessons. Plan and lead outdoor large-group activities. Read aloud for fifteen or more minutes without vocal strain.
  • Administrative / Director. Sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods. Perform supervisory responsibilities and provide essential-function ratio coverage as needed.

4.1 · Background Check Authorization

Required for PA DHS clearance review and ongoing compliance.

By signing below, I authorize ENLA Learning to verify the following as part of evaluating my application and, if hired, maintaining ongoing compliance with PA DHS childcare licensing:

  • Verification of education, credentials, and prior employment
  • Reference checks with employers I've authorized to be contacted
  • The PA DHS clearances and federal checks listed in Section 3.1

Conditional Offer & At-Will

4.2 · Conditional-Offer Statement

Any offer of employment is contingent on the items below.

  1. Completion and clearance of all required PA DHS clearances listed in Section 3.1.
  2. A post-offer Health Appraisal by a licensed medical provider, including a current TB test, physical exam, and provider attestation that you can perform the essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  3. Completion of federal Form I-9 and E-Verify on or before your first day of employment.
  4. Satisfactory professional reference checks.
  5. Any drug screening required by ENLA Learning policy at the time of hire.
Post-Offer Only
Health Appraisal, Form I-9 documentation, Social Security number, and date of birth are not collected at the application stage.
These are requested only after a conditional offer is extended. ENLA Learning accommodates religious observance through scheduling and other reasonable means. Specific accommodations are discussed after a conditional offer, not during the application process.
4.3 · At-Will Employment & Truthfulness

No contract is created by this application or by hire.

If hired, my employment with ENLA Learning will be at will. Either I or ENLA Learning may end the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause, subject to applicable law. Nothing in this application, in any ENLA Learning handbook, or in any communication during the hiring process creates a contract of employment or guarantees continued employment.
